Wisseltrofee
Peter Oud is bestuurslid bij Stichting Weerklank; trainer van de training ‘Stemmen horen begrijpelijk maken’; en coördinerend behandelaar bij de Stemmenpoli in Alkmaar. Hij faciliteert stemmenhoorders om met hun stemmen om te leren gaan en coacht hulpverleners in het leren faciliteren.
Tijdens het '10e Wereldcongres Stemmen horen' op 14 september 2018 in Den Haag heeft Peter hiervoor de ‘Romme Escher Wisseltrofee’ in ontvangst mogen nemen voor de best uitgedragen boodschap:
‘Stemmen horen is geen ziekte maar een menselijke variatie. Dat wil zeggen dat het stemmen horen een betekenis heeft in het leven van de stemmenhoorder. Dat het een reactie kan zijn op meegemaakte gebeurtenissen en de daarbij behorende emoties.’
Award
Tijdens het 8e World Hearing Voices Congress in Parijs (19-22 okt. 2016), waarbij 21 landen vertegenwoordigd waren, heb ik een ‘Education & Promotion Intervoice Award 2016’ ontvangen.
Reden van de nominatie:
Peter Oud is a nurse who hears positive voices.
With an incredible amount of patience and charm he started working in 2011 on the hearing voices approach in the mental health service where he worked. It’s one of the biggest facilities for mental health in the Netherlands.
He took a lot of personal risk. Colleagues didn’t always understood. He was open about his own experiences.
He managed to unite a lot of groups in the Netherlands that work with voice hearers that where not that close.
Because of his work there’s now research about the way hearing voices groups works in the Netherlands.
Peter also writes about the work he does as a facilitator for hearing voices groups and manages to make more colleagues come forward about there hearing voices experience.
He organized a congress about hearing voices for his employer and next year he is very busy organizing an new congres with a tribute to Marius Romme and Sandra Escher.
He was also an important writer of one of the programs about voice hearing for social work and nursing students but also for a training program that’s used to train mental health staff.
